Apply for Community Service Non-Tuition Scholarship Awards up to $1,200.00
Participation Criteria:
- Must be a graduating senior at one of the following high schools:
- John Bartram
- Overbrook
- Parkway West
- Paul Robeson
- School of the Future
- West Philadelphia
- William L. Sayre
- Must be accepted to an accredited college or university for the upcoming fall semester
- Must have a strong history of community service
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Must have at least 2.0 GPA

Dear Student Applicant:
Thank you for your interest in the Marie K. Bogle Scholarship for community service sponsored by Penn Volunteers in Public Service (Penn VIPS) and the Business Services Division (BSD). We honor and celebrate students who have a strong commitment to community service.
In order to be eligible for this scholarship, you must be a graduating senior at one of the following high schools: Bartram, Overbrook, Paul Robeson, Parkway West, Sayre, West Philadelphia or the School of the Future and be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident. You must also have a strong history of community service, a GPA of at least 2.0, and be accepted to an accredited college or university for the upcoming fall semester.
In order to be considered for a non-tuition scholarship of up to $1,200, please submit the following:
- Student Information Form
- Community Service Activities Grid
- Community Service Activities Questionnaire
- Student Recommendation Form
- Transcript
- Resume (if available)
Once you have completed the application packet, it must be received no later than April 17, 2019. Applications can be mailed, emailed, or dropped off:

If you are chosen as a winner of a Marie K. Bogle Scholarship, we will ask you to provide additional information about your acceptance at an accredited college or university. Also, it is mandatory that you attend the Scholarship Awards Dinner. We encourage you to invite your family, teachers and friends. The Scholarship Awards Dinner will be held at the Sheraton Philadelphia University City Hotel located at 36th and Chestnut Streets on Tuesday, May 21st at 4 pm.
